Blue bedroom of Eurynome

The first bedroom in the south-western side of the villa is called in the name of Eurynome. There is a picture of Eurynome hanged in this room, painted by Hrana Janto in 1994. This archetype of ancient Greece originates from the Pre-Hellenic cults of the Great Goddess and the moon goddess. According to the researcher of mythology Robert Graves, Eurynome embodies the primordial power of creation. Coming from the primeval chaos, Eurynome separated the sea form the sky and light from darkness. Naked in an ecstatic dance, moving southward in high speed, she created the north wind Boreas behind herself – the energy of fertility. Taking this dense energy into her hands, she formed a snake-serpent, which she called Ophion. Ophion, twined around Eurynome, impregnated her. The goddess, transformed into a dove, laid an egg, from which the Universe appeared – the sun, the moon, the planets, the stars and the earth with all the life.

All the details in this room are blue: the chandeliers, the bedding and the blankets, the towels, the hangers in the closet and the chair tapestry. The blue colour calms the nervous' system, creates a feeling of security and a sense of freshness, and it helps people to find peace with themelves and the surrounding world, strengthens intuition and inner voice.

In the bedroom there is a large double bed, 140 cm wide. From the room the large double-hinged doors open up to the spacious loggia surrounding the first floor from the south-west side, where you can enjoy the pool rippling below and the green palm trees. A wide panorama opens from all of the first floor balconies: the Red Sea mountain range decaying in the left, the Arabian Desert extends just before the house, the Red Sea is seen on the left.
